I purchased a pair of Valentino Flats, Item ID# m146*****. I contacted the seller prior to purchasing and was told they were hardly worn, however when I received the shoes, the logo on the left shoe was completely detached.

I contacted their chat representatives three times and was told that if I wanted to speak to someone, I would have to pay a refundable $1.00 charge, however when I went to pay, it was charging me $47.00 the first two time and $39.00 the third time I tried. THIS IS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ABSOLUTLY RIDICULOUS!!!
Attached is a photo of the damage to the shoes.

Id like to keep the shoes, but would like a partial refund in order to pay to have them repaired.
Ive asked Mercari to respond as to my best course of action, or I will leave a negative review for the seller, and Mercaris terrible customer service practices.
YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY TO GET CUSTOMER SUPPORT, ESPECIALLY SINCE IM THE ONE HAVING TO PAY FOR SERVICE FEES FOR LISTING ITEMS!!!

I have been a member over Mercari for several years and have generally been a satisfied user until recently. In my last 3 purchases over the last month and a half I have had issues with two of them that their customer service has been inept at addressing.

For the first of the two orders that had issues my item arrived damaged i immediately reached out to Mercari about this but they failed to respond within the 72 hour window they provide buyers to report and handle an issue. I was seeking a partial refund as the order had been a set and most of the set had been alright. But they failed to respond and I had to bring PayPals customer support in before they even attempted to rectify the issue. The second order I had an issue with involved a seller that I was unaware was using a stock image.

Mercari does not allow the use of just stock images per their own policies. When I submitted a request to return the item they denied my request and did not allow me to rate that seller to warn others about this sellers practices that breaks Mercaris own policies. Mercari customer support, while more responsive than the first transaction I had issue with, has been less than helpful.

I have asked them five separate times to explain how a listing using stock photos which they dont allow is consider as described and they have failed each and every time asked to answer that question. I will no longer be selling or shopping on Mercari and I would advise any who continue to use their services to beware as they dont have their customers best interests in mind and go against their own policies.

There are absolutely zero protections for sellers against scams. If the buyer scams you theyll just run you around in circles back and forth asking for the same information, then close the ticket because you had to respond in some arbitrary time frame.
Bonus - If you call theyll say live agents dont take calls from anywhere other than their home zip code, so good luck using an online selling platform online and expecting customer service to pickup your call and not just have an automated system that hangs up based on your area code lol.

I got scammed I did not authorized a purchased but a scammer got my pay method without me authorizing it they said a label was created I guess they waited to get and I received a fake package so that they get paid and never got my 400 hundred dollar unauthorized because all I did was make an offer then how did they get my information to take $400 from my account
