Before I could even verify my email, they closed my account due to 'transactions, listings, and/or messages that are prohibited according to our Terms of Service.' WTF? Literally, two emails were sent at the exact same time: one saying verify your email and the next saying my account was cancelled.
I *tried* to send a message and received an 'error message' that it couldn't be sent… Wow. Just wow.

Mercari claims that they cannot verify my account. However, I responded to all of their questions in my Gmail account when I was setting up the account, and they confirmed my access to Mercari. I also just found out that they can keep my contact information for five years after I cancel my account. Seriously?
And I thought that I researched them well before signing up. I guess that I didn't research them well enough.
