I purchased what was advertised as a New With Tags Coach Wallet. When I got the item, I was disappointed to see that it (a) Wasn't an authentic Coach wallet (2) it was used and damaged and (3) no tags attached.
I contacted Mercari who indicated I could ship item back but only had so many days. My daughter was in her deathbed and I was not able to leave her; therefore couldn't ship item back in 3 days and notified Mercari of my situation. They gave me an extension so on the 4th day I mailed the item back to seller. For some reason Mercari issued payment to the lying, POS seller and is telling me I'm SOL because they can't issue a refund once payment is made to the seller.
So Seller commits fraud, gets my money, her worn out wallet back and I have nothing.
I've been asking to speak to management and they keep marking my issue as resolved and it is not resolved! I will never deal with this fraudulent POS company again and don't recommend them to anyone!

Mercari needs to read what I send them and actually investigate instead of sending the same bs email
Printed out the fedx label and shipped it. Second time sending the same exact item since I have many of them. First one was fine with no issues. Second one after My customer receives my item and puts in a good review Mercari turns around and says fedx claims the total package weighed 39 pounds and takes another twenty dollar from my earnings..
I tried contacting Mercari and get some bs email saying I need to be careful weighing stuffumm the unit itself only weighs 13pounds and again a previous order with the same thing went fine at 14lbs so what gives Mercariare you scamming people. I want my twenty bucks back. Wont even send me proof of a receipt from fedx showing it was weighed at 39 pounds.
I can take one right now to Fedx and bet you a million dollars their scale will show 14 pounds! Reporting them to the BBB and if there is a class action suit against them Im sure to join it

I bought a pair of earrings from these people both earrings are for the left ear and I tried to contact them 21 hours after I got my package to let them know both earrings are for the left ear and it does matter unfortunately on these earrings it does matter a left and right side I got two left I asked them to exchange it because I don't want my money back I will need these for a wedding and now they refuse to give an exchange I want the item I paid for and they are refusing saying I didn't get back with them in a timely manner even though I send them the receipts that I did and they are doing everything out of their power to just not fix it That's all I'm asking just to fix it worst company I will never buy from this company ever again I am so glad that I did not make an account when I made these purchases I was going to purchase these see how it went to see if I would ever go back on this make an account and buy again the answer is *** no and that's sad y'all missed out on a lot of money because you sell everything I'm into not happening The picture is where I'm showing that it says 21 hours ago to look for my package and they're trying to tell me that I had 72 hours and I didn't get a hold of them in 72 hours and I did at 21 hours to be exact and not only on top of that but did you not know that that this company will automatically rate your transaction for you if you don't do it in 72 hours because the seller won't get paid and a timely manner so the ratings are *** they make their own ratings pretty much

I received an unfair review for the bathing suit I sold Mercari customer service is no help When it comes to reviews, they should delete unfair reviews after explaining to them what happened also, I would not sell to Garys closet She was the one I sold too, and she was very picky and very rude would avoid her she told me I was Dishonest seller after I explained to her the price and she still bought the item and she gave me bad review just because I explained to her about the price and she also said that they were a little brown spots and the suit top and there was no brown spots I dont know what her deal was that is why I would not sell to her or buy from her and like I said, Mercari customer service Is terrible they were no help. They said were sorry, but we cannot edit your review or remove it like I said, they should remove it after you explain to them of what happened. I think they should accept changing a review when you explain to them what happened and send pictures I dont know what more to do in the future they should let sellers and buyers change the reviews as long as they explain to customer service about the issue and send pictures

Verified ReviewerThe help section is not addressing my urgent need. Both customer service phone numbers when I called stated NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPPORT AVAILABLE IN MY AREA.
Sent package that weighed 30 lbs per Fed Ex. Box was 39x21x15.
When box was delivered and info sent back to me stating box weighed 88 lbs. Mercari took all my money $155.00. I carried this box and there is no way it weighed 88 lbs. I know for a fact with 2 witnesses including the Fed Ex person.
I'm an older disabled lady and I could not have even lifted 88 lbs.
I called Fed ex as mercaris info stated and they needed me to get a copy of the invoice and call them back before any correction could be made. THE HELP SECTION DID NOT ADDRESS MY ISSUE AT ALL.
TOLD ME I HAD TO WAIT FOR FED EX TO SEND CORRECTIONS.
LIKE I SAID FED EX WOULD NOT EVEN START A CORRECTION PROCESS TILL I HAD A VOPY OF THE INVOICE FROM MERCARI WHICH YOU HAVE RECEIVED. 3-4 DAYS AFTER DELIVERY WHICH WAS 3/11/2024.

I purchased a wallet from a seller upon opening the item the smell (mothball/chemical) that came out was horrendous. I contacted the seller and the seller told me what might work to remove the smell.
The seller knew there was a smell and didnt disclose it. I asked for a refund and was told by Mercari that they can not see a smell even though the seller but admitted knowing about it. They refused to allow me to return the item and get my money back. The kicker they said I can sell it to another buyer (so they have to deal with the smell) so Mercari can get paid twice.
Everyone beware if you purchase an item a seller can lie/deny a smell and you are stuck. You can purchase a purse that looks great but when you receive it it reeks of cigarette smoke, youre out of luck.
It can smell like rotten meat, you have to eat the cost. Horrible business, a seller can pawn off unsellable smelly items on Mercari because they are protected.
The wallet is outside because it smells so bad
