Before I could even verify my email, they closed my account due to 'transactions, listings, and/or messages that are prohibited according to our Terms of Service.' WTF? Literally, two emails were sent at the exact same time: one saying verify your email and the next saying my account was cancelled.

I *tried* to send a message and received an 'error message' that it couldn't be sent… Wow. Just wow.

A customer complained about an item missing that I shipped out. The missing item was not protected through UPS shipping protection, and the customer was asked to ship what was left back through a different courier, which was FedEx.

They gave the buyer a refund and left me without a returned item.

I lost money and an item; the company scammed me and did not honor their shipping protection policy. Seller beware!!!

I am writing this to document a sustained pattern of unprofessional behavior and exclusionary business practices by Anime Jewelry Zone, which was often coordinated with another seller, ColorfulCreations90. What began as a positive support of a small creator in 2024 turned into an experience defined by "moving goalposts," favoritism, and eventually, a total lack of accountability.

Unfair Favoritism & Dishonesty Regarding Supplies

The seller repeatedly prioritized a "favored" customer (ColorfulCreations90) at the expense of other paying clients. This included:

The "No Duplication" Rule: The seller claimed certain designs were "one-of-a-kind" or "unreplicable" only when I requested them. However, she used the same "unavailable" materials to create deluxe versions for her associate.

Failed Commissions: I paid full price for a custom keychain that was delivered with incorrect colors and missing details. Meanwhile, the seller used the exact high-quality beads and charms I had requested to make a superior version for her friend without notifying me that the supplies were back in stock.

Arbitrary Rules and Ultimatums

During a large custom order in November 2024, the seller suddenly introduced restrictive policies that were never disclosed upfront:

The "5-Item Limit": After previously accepting an order for 10 items without issue, the seller suddenly used a "5-item limit" to deny me a specific piece I wanted.

Deadlines & Threats: Despite knowing I was traveling internationally and facing technical platform issues out of my control, the seller issued an ultimatum to "complete the purchase or the items would be defaulted." She shifted from a friendly tone to one of guilt-tripping and hostility.

3. Lack of Transparency and Professionalism

Selective Closure: The seller claimed her shop was "restructuring" and closed to all commissions. However, during this "closure," she continued to fulfill custom orders for her favored associate, proving the closure was a targeted excuse to deny me service.

Coordinated Blocking: After I sent a kind, supportive message regarding her shop changes, the seller viewed the message and immediately blocked me on all platforms (Instagram and Mercari) without any explanation. Additionally, the associate seller (ColorfulCreations90) also blocked me on her own shop for no reason, confirming a coordinated effort to blacklist a customer based on personal favoritism rather than business conduct.

The environment was further poisoned by ColorfulCreations90, who publicly intruded on my private custom listing, stating she hoped my order would "fall through" so she could take it. The seller encouraged this disrespectful behavior rather than maintaining professional boundaries.

Conclusion

It is deeply disappointing when a creator uses a customer's genuine passion as leverage for emotional manipulation and gatekeeping.

I attempted to resolve these issues through proper channels (Mercari reporting), but the platform offered no protection against this targeted exclusion. I am sharing this now as a permanent record: Consumer beware of "clique" environments where business ethics are sacrificed for personal favoritism.

There's no way to contact anyone concerning my purchase, not arriving since January 8. I have been waiting for my purchase for my granddaughter.

It was a Stranger Things ring. I've tried every way possible to contact you guys. I even called the number that was given to me through here. This website rang, and then it went to a busy signal.

I didn't want to have to call my bank, but it's been too long and I need my money back as soon as possible. And I just may call the Better Business Bureau as well.

I messaged the seller, no response, I called Mercari, no active help desk available, once 72hr window closes with no feedback they automatically conclude the transaction. I don't recommend purchasing anything from this shop!

Difficulty cancelling my account

Mercari claims that they cannot verify my account. However, I responded to all of their questions in my Gmail account when I was setting up the account, and they confirmed my access to Mercari. I also just found out that they can keep my contact information for five years after I cancel my account. Seriously?

And I thought that I researched them well before signing up. I guess that I didn't research them well enough.
